Travellers need a valid passport to enter Thailand. The passport must be valid for six months beyond your intended stay. This entitles you to stay 30-90 days.
Our all-inclusive holiday packages include international return flights from Australia. Flights run throughout the day from all our major airports to the major International Airports in Thailand. You can jump on a morning flight from Sydney, afternoon flight from Perth, or an evening flight from Brisbane – These are just a few examples of the flight schedules. Wherever you are travelling from, My Thailand will get you there on a full-service airline, inclusive in the package*.
For your arrival and departure, we have you covered, with return connections included in your My Thailand package! We will organise a domestic flight or ferry connection to and from your resort on arrival and departure. Other great ways to travel through the city and islands are buses, taxis, ferries, speedboats and hire cars. Taxis are metred but you can ask for a price before setting out. The official currency in Thailand is Thai Baht. Approximately AUD$0.47 equals 1 baht, although this changes due to exchange rates. Major credit cards are widely accepted. There are several ATMs and other money exchange services around Thailand, particularly in Bangkok and Suvarnabhumi International Airport.
Visa application is not required for stays less than 30 days as you are granted them for free on arrival. The traveller must:
- Hold a passport valid at least six months beyond the period of intended stay with one blank visa page
- Hold proof of sufficient funds
- Hold proof of confirmed onward/return airline tickets
- Hold documents showing proof of purpose of trip
- Hold all documents required for the next destination
- Hold a visa for the next country, where applicable
- Confirm with their airline that boarding will be permitted without a visa as these conditions are subject to change
